Breakfast Falafel Recipe

Early morning meetings are an easy opportunity to zero in on what matters while carving out some serious idea time.  And brainstorming is really important.

Part of the real estate process is digging deep to figure out your top priorities.

What matters to you and how do you want to live your life?

Asking this question makes all the difference, because if you want your child to attend a french immersion school, for example, you'll want to consider the right schools and neighbourhoods.  

The discussion about your next home purchase should never start with your frivolous wants.  

Instead, it should always start with your deep needs and desires.


Easy + Relaxed

My team and I spent some time researching creative breakfast recipes as an ode to my love of the morning meal.  Not only that, but we wanted to feature recipes that are versatile and easy to adjust - depending on your needs.

To be honest, these falafels taste great anytime of day!

We thought it would be fun to feature a quick and easy recipe alongside some real estate advice, because I understand that real estate talks are not always... fun?  I mean, they might be fun for me because I'm obsessed.

But I get that money and finance discussions can sometimes feel stressful.

When you work with me, I want you to feel relaxed and confident that someone with experience has got your back.  Not only when it comes to managing and building your wealth, but also when it comes to designing your dream life.

At first, I thought making homemade falafels would be complicated - but I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was!

Breakfast Falafel Recipe

Sometimes, things seem more complex from afar than they really are.

Like falafels and real estate! 

My biggest piece of advice is to take things step by step! 

Real estate is a process.  

It requires a full team of professionals coming together to make things happen for you, and that requires patience.

It's important to stay the course and stay calm in the process, because even though it might feel stressful, everything eventually does come together.  Like when I forgot the flour in this recipe and the falafels wouldn't actually cook! 

One little missing ingredient can have a huge effect on the final result.

This recipe is also super nutritious because I think it is important to take good care of yourself and your family.

And along the lines of real estate, building wealth might seem like something everyone else is doing.  And maybe you're just not ready or maybe you have more important things to consider right now.  

What I will say is this...  Just like your health, your ability to build wealth requires care and attention.

You might think you're the last person on earth who could ever own a home - but that's just not true.  Once you start making your ability to build wealth a priority - just like eating well and exercising - you'll be shocked at the results!


4 garlic cloves

1 cup of fresh cilantro

1 + 1/2 cups of spinach

1 tsp of cumin

1 tsp of paprika

1 tsp of baking powder

1/4 cup of fresh parsley 

1 tsp of salt 

1 tsp of pepper

1/2 cup of red onion 

the juice from one lemon

2 cans of chick peas

1/3 of gluten-free flour

olive oil for cooking

2 to 3 eggs




You'll need a food processor for this recipe.  In a pinch, a magic bullet will work as well.

Combine garlic, cilantro, spinach, cumin, paprika, baking powder, fresh parsley, salt & pepper, red onion and chick peas into your food processor and mix until relatively smooth.  You can definitely have clumps - especially when it comes to the chick peas.

Add any other spices you wish - like cumin or garlic powder.  

In my experience, the more garlic the better!

Once you've adequately combined the mixture, add a gluten free flour of your choice and fold the flour into the mixture until it is well combined.

From here, you can add eggs - depending on your dietary restrictions, you can leave them out all together.  I've made this recipe twice - adding free range, organic eggs to the mixture and also leaving them out.  Either way, you're getting a healthy recipe that is filed to the brim with protein! 

Next, you'll want a good supply of parchment paper.

Take a spoonful of your mixture and using your hands, roll each spoonful into a ball, pressing it down gently on the parchment paper to create a patty.  

From there, sprinkle each patty with salt and pepper.  I also added vegan parmesan cheese for crispy-ness and texture.

Fill your frying pan with oil - but make sure not to add too much.  

You don't want to soak the falafels.  

Add your falafels to the frying pan and fry them until they are cooked all the way through - flipping once or twice during the cooking process. 

Prep + Process

You can cook these falafels at the beginning of the week and use them as your meat substitute in a number of dishes - including scrambled eggs!
